*sigh* i hope legislators and ppl in jobs of power take ppl's lives more seriously. read this link.

my response:
the following makes me angry at the ppl, who could have done their duty and prevented this individual from being wronged.

#1. "Reaves told him that the fifteen members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles, which reviews an application for clemency and had been sent Hurst’s report, had made their decision." so, isn't there any accountability to their actions? they just walk away, scot free? aren't they guilty of anything and don't have to pay a price for their actions?
#2. “The Governor made his decision based on the facts of the case.” doesn't hurst's report constitute facts of the case? and so goes the governor, scot free. not guilty at all? hmm... *sigh*
#3. “The documents show that they received the report, but neither office has any record of anyone acknowledging it, taking note of its significance, responding to it, or calling any attention to it within the government,” Barry Scheck said. some more ppl who could have stopped the execution. some more ppl who don't have to answer for their inaction!?
#4. can't ppl in jobs of power who can make a difference take someone's life seriously enough to go through any fresh evidence that comes up? WHAT IF IT WAS THEIR LIVES AT STAKE?
